Employability of our students is a matter of concern. At the other end of the spectrum is need for greater investment in research. Industry academia linkages are essential to meet both these ends. While we have various efforts in this direction, these have not fructified as expected. We need to find out how and what is needed for a more fruitful partnering.

syllabi of various courses of Polytechnic education need to be revised in the interval of three years by the competent authority in consultation with experts from industry.This exercise may imbibe the pass outs with skill,techniques and knowledge required in our modern industries

Industries should be allowed and motivated for opening their job oriented courses in the college campuses with job guarantees.Industry personnel should be prominently invited for the curriculum devepolment.

HE institutions should be oriented to impart skills required by the industry. Feedback from the industry should be taken to change study programmes and improve employability. Increased industry academia linkages can help for start-ups and intrepreneurial ventures through greater collaboration.

I am concerned about if we don't make equivalent efforts in educational development, we will end up making ourselves dependent on other and will never be able to develop at equivalent pace in future.

We started Tejas in 1980 Delhi Metro is still paying dept. We r taking lone for bullet train. buying defense equipment. can we invest 10% of it in making such studies possible in India. We just need to bring teachers whose can teach us these things. And one day we will take contracts fom America. Rather then depending on others
