Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) is glad to inform its citizens that Mangalore has been shortlisted among 100 cities which are ought to be developed as Smart Cities in concurrence to the Smart City Mission Guidelines of MoUD, GOI. Based on the responses received from citizens during Round one and two alongside considering the scheme guidelines, the Corporation has proposed two pan-city proposals, highlighted as below;

1. “One Touch Mangaluru”
2. Smart Utility Management System for water, waste management and electricity

More details of the project are available in the MCC website.

All citizens of Mangaluru are requested to go through the project details and submit their views w.r.t the proposals through www.mygov.in

Last date for submission is 11th December 2015.

We request you to kindly make your voices count in the due process.

Its nice to be the part of smart city Mangaluru. The proposals are good and citizens involvement is also appreciable. we should pledge to be in the top 20 cities.

Draft Smart City Proposal is addressed all the major issues and suggested feasible solutions for the same.Proper implementation of suggested projects will surely improve the quality of life and service delivery of Mangaluru city

one way traffic should be implemented to move vehicle and public smoothly,parking area should be identified as per done in old area, strictly one way to be implemented all hoarding should be digital, all divider should be well decorated and breaking of traffic rules ticketing systems should be implemented

• Broader roads with green belt • Rain water recycling unit to maintain underground water label Earthquake resistance buildings. Proper Law nd order should be maintained. City bus facility should be improved. Metro train. CCTV cameras on majar streets. Garbage dumping facility. Proper drainage system in every locality. Wi-fi availability on major super markets.

It is a good idea but there should be pay attention on atmosphere. we should focus on the traffic and also provide a online service to check whether a car/bike(vehicle) is valid or not by just scanning their number by traffic police(RTO service) that will reduce much time. checking the vehicles and specially provide the internet in rural areas by which they also will aware about the things which going on in my country and update themself and also provide butter education in rural areas

Certain internal roads need to be repaired and corruption should stop to allow good and lasting work. build speed breakers near schools, hospitals.
