Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC) organized multiple citizen engagement activities, events and programs across the city.A wide range of online and offline techniques were adopted to reach citizens ensuing wider participation from citizens; Face to Face, print and social media including Facebook, Twitter, GMC’s website, MyGov, whatsapp and Door to Door.

On the basis responses and key stakeholder consultations, the options for ‘Area Based Development’ proposal and ‘Pan City’solutions were identified and polls to arrive at a preferred option was organized on GMC’s website. The finalized options were considered and incorporatedin Draft Smart City Proposal. The proposal has identified projects that reflect the citizen’s priorities and the vision for the city. GMC invitescitizens to still participate and offer feedback and suggestions to further enrich the Smart City Proposal Gandhinagar.
