Government run AC tour buses should be operated on the daily basis with frequency of 1 hour to take people to of all the important destinations in the city in 2 days. For e.g "Bus A" will cover Bhubaneshwar City, Nandankanan Zoo, Chilka lake etc. and "Bus B" will cover Konark, Puri and Other important destinations. This would encourage a lot of tourism in Bhubaneshwar.

Considering the existing scenario of Public transport, it is very important to increase the bus fleet with more number of bus routes plying in all parts of the city. A city bus running within the city with high frequency and features such as ITMS, off-board ticketing and route information etc. will enhance the usage of public transport to a great extent.

I really appreciate the efforts taken by the smart city team Bhubaneshwar. This city should have a world class NMT infrastructure implemented with all the safety measures i.e. a complete city-wide network with dedicated cycle tracks, separate crossings for cyclists, signals, parking and the Right-of-way priority given to the cyclists and pedestrians. This would encourage cycling in the city and in a way discourage the motorized usage for short length trips.

A very well planned effort by smart city team Bhubaneswar, integrating and interconnecting all the services and infrastructure together. Really appreciate the concept of complete streets and NMT zones, which would not help to prioritize People Oriented Planning for Bhubaneswar but will also be helpful in creating public places showcasing Bhubaneswar's art and culture.

Congratulations BMC for putting all the efforts to prepare this nice and concise proposal with all minute details. The area based proposal is a perfect example for localising the global ideas into Indian context of making an city sustainable. Its our sincere hope that Bhubaneswar will win this challenge and BMC will be able to implement this proposal. Also it will be great if similar model of integrated development gets replicated in other parts of the city.
