Dear Citizens,

Rajkot is participating in Smart City Proposal Round-III and is a strong candidate to become smart city. As a part of preparing the smart city proposal, Rajkot Municipal Corporation carried out exhaustive citizen consultation with different groups of citizens, students groups, Sakhi Mandals, Hawker groups, NGOs, various industrial associations, elected representatives, urban planners, partner organizations and suppliers. The draft proposal is created on the basis of exhaustive consultation with different groups of citizens on challenges facing the city and citizen aspirations, city profile and future development plan, financial and implementation feasibility to make the development and services self-sustainable and future ready with ultimate goal of turning Rajkot into smart, most livable and ionic city. You are requested to go through the attached proposal here and provide your kind suggestions on the proposal by 3 PM, 25-Mar-2017.

स्वच्छता अभियान के अंतर्गत गाँव गाँव शौचालय बनाने के बाद मेरा मानना है कि अब शहरों और कस्बों में मुख्य बाज़ारों में प्रत्येक २०० मीटर पर एक सार्वजनिक शौचालय (पुरुष एवं महिला दोनों के लिए) अवश्य होना चाहिए क्योंकि अक्सर देखा जाता है कि पुरुष तो कहीं भी मूत्र त्यागने का स्थान ढूंड लेते हैं परन्तु महिलाओं के लिए नहीं के बराबर व्यवस्था होती है.

Proposal covering all the necessary aspects in projecting Rajkot as one of the best cities of India to live in with extraordinary facilities. . .Another good thing is proposal being prepared keeping in mind the citizens' needs and feedback. . .All the very best and thank you to the team involved in the Rajkot SCP preparation. . .!

In respect to Rajkot smart city, I want to suggest that, Infrastructure development and Industrial development is very important, but, enviorment is also very important, pollution free atmosphere is very important for health of the people, hence, proper care should be taken to control the pollution, specially air and water pollution is great problem should be resolved,green revolution in city should be implemented by plantation programme all over the city by NGO and other institution,best wishes
