The Department of Posts is advancing an initiative to establish a standardized, geo-coded addressing system in India, for ensuring simplified addressing solutions for citizen-centric delivery of public and private services. In this regard, the Department had collaborated with IIT Hyderabad for developing a National Addressing Grid, named as Digital Postal Index Number (DIGIPIN). This system will act as a strong and robust pillar of Geospatial Governance, leading to enhancements in public service delivery, faster emergency response and a significant boost to logistics efficiency.

The DIGIPIN layer will act as the addressing reference system which can be used for logically locating addresses with directional properties built into it due to the logical naming pattern followed in its construction.

The DIGIPIN is proposed to be fully available in the public domain and can be easily accessed by everyone. The DIGIPIN Grid system being an addressing referencing system, can be used as the base layer for other ecosystems, including various service providers and utilities, where addressing is one of the processes in the workflow.

This system will act as a strong and robust pillar of Geospatial Governance, leading to enhancements in public service delivery, faster emergency response and a significant boost to logistics efficiency.

The advent of DIGIPIN will mark a revolutionary step in India’s journey towards digital transformation by bridging the crucial gap between physical locations and their digital representation.

The Department has released a beta version of National Addressing Grid ‘DIGIPIN’ on 19.07.2024 for public feedback, the details of which may be accessed through the India Post website: https://www.indiapost.gov.in/vas/Pages/digipin.aspx

The Department of Post in collaboration with MyGov cordially invites you to explore the beta platform and provide constructive feedback, which will help in fine tuning the specifications of the DIGIPIN.

digipin designe a pin - which will leads 2 accuracy exactness, with less complexity & with saftey parameter simple logic - simply such as put few demo person which will contribute if ask .. how ..when we wanna find any address or road we take help of digital or language translater if outside ..but few time need the help of person who will address the road in short mouth public or nearby located any sopt of any kind so if by AI- cn introduce such features may help in exactness & few times demographi foes in2 changes it's goes in sudden or take time depend on locality & few specific areas which r remote or mountain due 2natural cause may changes such area if cover with local may help indirectly in security..

If, Indian Postal Services is entering in the digital realm it should secure all his digital looks because it is having most crucial data of all Indian citizens i.e. address and identity proof such as ADHAAR and PAN and securing it paramount task and doing so need brilliant mind like gray hat hackers or team of both white and black hat hackers. भारतीय डाक विभाग की पिनकोड प्रणाली के उपयोग से सभी डाक का वितरण सुगमता से सही व्यक्ति तक पहुंचाया जाता आया है। वर्तमान में टेक्नोलॉजी को देखते हुए DIGIPIN का कॉन्सेप्ट सराहनीय है।

ऐसा कार्य किया जाये जो हमारे ग्रामीण भाई बहन ओर कम पढे लिखे व्यक्ति आसानी सीख सके ओर कर सके क्योंकि पोस्ट आफिस कि सारी कार्यो की जानकारी आम जन तक भी पहुंच सके ओर वह उनका लाभले सके।

Dear PM There was only one surgical strike & air strike. Whether we have exhausted these options. In the last 3 months, over 50 soldiers and citizens are killed by Pakistanis sent by their military. Why no surgical or air strike again? What is the reason you are afraid? Why not break cease fire on loc and kill double the number of their soldiers? As long as their military thinks India will not kill them but go after only terrorists, they will continue to send thousands of terrorists trained, funded and armed by themselves. Please reduce dependence on USA for defence equipments. They are most unreliable. We should start planning for alternate engines for Tejas & AMCA
