India is among 51 countries to sign the “Rome Declaration” on “Achieving Self-sufficiency in Safe Blood and blood products based voluntary non-remunerated donation”. Blood is an intrinsic requirement for health care and proper functioning of the health system. National AIDS Control Organization under Department of Health and Family Welfare has been primarily responsible for ensuring provision of safe blood for the country since 1992. National Blood Policy 2003 reiterates firmly the government’s commitment to provide safe and adequate quantity of blood, blood components and blood products.

However, in India, a needy patient or his relatives have to run from pillar to post in search of blood and the onus of procurement of blood still lies with the patient and not with the service provider.

Suggestions are invited on how to develop a nationally coordinated and well networked blood transfusion service in the country and reach 100% voluntary blood donation to enable us to meet the global goal of self sufficiency in blood and blood products.

Hello PM sir, I want o request you to make sports compulsory in all schools and colleges. There should be compulsory exams for sports so that children are serious for that. Schools with not proper place and facility for sports should not be given permission. The present education system in Our country is producing good brains but lazy ,lethargic and unfit citizens who lack in energy , decipline and courage. Thanks

I want PM to study the Universal health scheme which exists in Australia. It involves both public and private sector participation. Government Hospitals will be less crowded. It may not be an ideal model for India. But still will give us some good ideas to move along in this direction. Universal free health Insurance entitled Medibank was first introduced by the great Australian PM Gough Whitlam. The new avatar of Medibank is called Medicare. I wish the PM a very successful overseas tour.

Compulsory rural area project for 3 years for getting doctors degree. Also put a uniform practitioners fees and put serious ban on using brand name on prescription. No sale of medicine without VAT bill. Govt can easily do this and make govt hospitals better just by these simple thoughts

Digital Life Certificate: Very good idea but I wish they had thought through a bit more. Now its based on Addhar card per TOI news. I don't find it sensible to REPLACE one CUMBERSOME process for another! So now instead of going to get oneself physically verified an old person must run around to get a NEW ID card made. Have all previous documents such as passport, PAN card, Election card they possess suddenly lost validity? This is just change, mediocre at best, not transformational change!

Sir, I feel ashamed when in free India, I have to pay money even to use toilet at public places. I don't mind giving away money but the question is, what about poor people or if somebody don't have money. This gives me license to not to use toilet. As per my belief, if u want people to really use toilets, please uncourage them and not making them pay for using it. Sponsor it and also make them clean by men who use them.

Railway is a linked with the life of Indians. But after nearly 67 years of Independence, Rail Network is not good in India. I want you to request to Kindly double the railway line on every route especially in the areas near to our Capital. Meerut- Saharanpur is still single railway line.
