India is among 51 countries to sign the “Rome Declaration” on “Achieving Self-sufficiency in Safe Blood and blood products based voluntary non-remunerated donation”. Blood is an intrinsic requirement for health care and proper functioning of the health system. National AIDS Control Organization under Department of Health and Family Welfare has been primarily responsible for ensuring provision of safe blood for the country since 1992. National Blood Policy 2003 reiterates firmly the government’s commitment to provide safe and adequate quantity of blood, blood components and blood products.

However, in India, a needy patient or his relatives have to run from pillar to post in search of blood and the onus of procurement of blood still lies with the patient and not with the service provider.

Suggestions are invited on how to develop a nationally coordinated and well networked blood transfusion service in the country and reach 100% voluntary blood donation to enable us to meet the global goal of self sufficiency in blood and blood products.

I feel as Finance Minister is new to ministry and could not attend office for while for heath reasons, RBI thought it was the best opportunity to FOOL F.M.(I can back my statements with all relevant emails)

I have seen that, private blood banks takes blood on volunteer basis from the people and people are willing to give also but the same blood does not reach to needy in free cost. why don't government hospitals and blood banks take an initiative in such a way that people attracts towards donation in government instead of privet. suggestions, like organise camps in corporate offices, improve safety, campaign on social media and small momento on blood donation promoting regular blood donors.

The CMD of PSU banks must be able to command respect from their staff as well. CMD's must be able make them work and take them to task when the bank staff do not work. (I have complained to CMD of Canara Bank on 19thSeptember, 2014, till date just emails mentioning some will get back as yet one has. I am aware since 1 st October Canara Bank has no CMD, is that the reason no one got back.

Sir im an mbbs graduate preparing for my post graduation and at tge same time working in a rural set up in my neighbouring state of kerala. My idea is in order to improve the general health of people we first need to improve the quality of doctors. For around 38 to 40 k mbbs doctors who pass out every year we have only 12k post graduate seats.so most of us end up trying for years to come India has max no of medical colleges in world but very less pg seats SO PLEASE EQUALISE UG:PG SEAT RATIO

Part 1 Reduced my acc bal in my Canara Bank acc to the min bal bcos of very poor service at the Santacruz(East) Br, Mum 55. Without informing me the Canara Bank deducted service charges for my debit card, now the min balance had as well reduced, again no information from the Canara bank, they deducted a fine on a daily basis which would put an jail executioner to shame.Taking the matter to the branch, Circle office and emailing was no use as Canara bamk as standard answers TECH/ SERVER issues.

Having recently been through a prolonged life threatening illness experience of family member over 2 years & successfully coming out of it , I have a suggestion for improving the efficiency of the entire healthcare system using IT. This will potentially reduce huge burden of healthcare professionals . Would like to know exactly whom to address this proposition to so it can start as pilot project & be rolled out nationwide.
