The cce pattern that is followed mostly in all the cbse schools should be stopped as it is creating more and more distance between the students goal. The activities that are held are too much that a student doesn't get time too study properly. According to Me a kind of voting must be held in favour and against of it. Between the age of 12-18 years old students. And I am sure the votes for against will be much more as compared to favour

a knowledge of Mahabharatha katha and the gist of Bhagavath geetha may be indroduced in graded way. ideals of christhu and Khoran also needed to be taught. As a teacher educator going to retire, I seriously found this is necessary for the coming generation to live happily, without stress and also in religious harmony. there will be psuedo secularists.but go ahead. I think you can consider scholors from kerala : Thuravoor viswambran, swami bhumanda thirtha and Dr gopalakrishnan to design curricula

Physical Education is to be made part of the education with National Events organised starting with School, Sub-district, district, state and National Levels. Here also, there should not be any limitation in the number of participants and all the candidates qualifying the 'bench mark' to be fixed, should be allowed to participate in the higher levels. The will prevent unhealthy competition and give all the students who perform well have the chance to participate in the games.

We should arrange National Youth Festival for all the students of our country - irrespective of the schools from which they belong. The organisation of events should be on School, Sub-district, district, state and National level. There should not be any competition and grades are to be given to all the performers with 'A' grade to participate in higher grades without limiting the number. At present only one student is selected for higher level and this makes equal performers lose their chance.

The education system is to be bifurcated as "Curriculum" based activities and "Cultural" and "Religious" activities. All the students should have the facility to get acquainted with the cultural heritage of India and have instructions regarding the major religions including Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, Christian etc with an opening session of 10 minutes each day dedicated to any religion followed with a "Meditation" and "Yoga" session of 20 minutes. This give mental relief & confort to students.

Mindfulness has been introduced in school education in a big way throughout the western world and in Australia. Centres for Mindfulness have been established in most of the leading universities in US, UK, Europe and Australia. It is high time that we follow suit in our country and make use of this ancient meditation practice of India to promote social and emotional learning and inculcation of universal human values.

The issue of value education has been very contentious and confused with religious education. The education administrators need to be empowered to respond to such criticism logically and rationally by suitable workshops. A paper which presents an effective response can be seen at : https://societyholisticeducation.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/how-can-values-be-taught_paper.pdf
