LPG is a dominant cooking fuel of urban population and also, steadily penetrating in rural areas replacing other traditional sources of fuel which included fire wood, cow dung, coal, etc.

There are nearly 17 crore LPG consumers in the country with average refill of 35 lakh cylinders per day. The reach of LPG connections as well as providing timely services to the consumers has always kept in pace with the technological innovations. Provision of timely services and attending the grievances of the consumers continues to be critical for consumers’ satisfaction.

Available Web as well as Mobile phone based applications are extensively used to enable the new customers to get LPG connections and the existing customers to avail services. The Ministry has been taking all measures to leverage the Digital India initiative to make it more consumers friendly.
Presently, following citizen friendly services are being offered for the prospective and existing LPG consumers.

•Book Cylinder through IVRS -– allows consumer to book refill through their registered mobile number.
•Track Refill – It’s both Web and App based facility which shows consumer last 3 booking & delivery date
•Know Your Distributor –Web based facility provides distributor name, address, contact no , Sales officers name & email id
•Talk to Us – connects to call centre managed round the clock.
•Request for 2nd cylinder – allows consumer with single cylinder connection to request for additional cylinder.
•Mechanic Service – allows consumer to register request for mechanic service.
•Surrender connection – allows consumer to register request for surrendering connection.
•Rate your distributor – allows consumer to rate distributor on 5 service parameters, which enables the consumer to ascertain the quality of services provided by the distributor.
•Bank Detail – allows consumer to update Bank details for becoming Cash Transfer Complaint to avail the subsidy under ‘PaHal’ scheme.
•Opt out of Subsidy – provides option to ‘GiveItUp’ of LPG subsidy.
•Feedback Status – allows consumer to check status of any feedback submitted earlier

Ministry further wants to bring new innovations/improvement in services provided with an aim to enhance ‘quality’ of the services provided and transparency in transactions. Therefore, suggestions/creative inputs are solicited from the all the stakeholders on improving the services using communication platforms.

I am talking about who have no lpg connection and living away from home. They are buying lpg cylinder on inflated price. They r facing curse of corruption till now. My suggestion is that there should be a facility of online booking of cylinder with direct payment to company.By which they can buy cylinder at least at market rate. So distribution personnel would not be able to charge extra price than market rate.

Continued from my previous mail... Putting all the names of LPG customers who are enjoying subsidies in a website including their photos may lead to Social Audit. The people who notices a VIP enjoying subsidy may immdtly bring the fact to the notice of Govt., for appropriate action. The electronic/print media haunts the VIPs who still enjoys the subsidies. In addition to this, the VIP who is silently enjoying subsidies will try to giveup subsidies voluntarily fearing about public and media.

Humble appeal to Govt/Modiji... The subsidies which are intended for poor people are sometimes being enjoyed by rich people. However, some rich people who dont want to loose subsidy are not responding to giveup call by our PM. The reason for their non-responsiveness is the secrecy which the Govt is maintaining about the database of LPG subsidy holders. Putting all the names of LPG customers who are enjoying subsidies may be openly made available in a website including photos.

Sir, Transfer of amount in EPF is very time taking process when one changes employment from one company to another. It should be made paperless. Currently even though request can be submitted online but physical papers are to be submitted to employer. It is an individual money and transfer should be just like we do in bank transfer through RTGS and NEFT. regards, Ripul Shrivastava

1. While refilling the cylinders, priority should be given to the person having one LPG connection at every refill station, so that people with single connection can get their refill faster. we can do this by simply maintaining separate queue for those having single and those having multiple connections. 2. No. of distributors in a particular district should be increased. This will increase competition and lead to better service.

1. Refills to be available at retail outlets like petrol pumps at non-subsidised rate. 2. One should be able to order and pay on lie for the refills from dealer 3. Once the refill order has been paid, dealer should notify through SMS when dealer is in position to make delivery. After that delivery should be available on demand (may be at little extra cost) within say one hour. This will help the working couples. Current system of preferred time delivery does not work in practice.

You ask any LPG consumer and he will complain about supply of refill cylinder with less quantity. Carrying of digital weighing hooks by delivery boys should be made mandatory. Transparent cylinders should be introduced at earliest. We are hearing about this for decades.

There should be online payment option and well said by other consumers that there should be provision for rating of the distributor for their conduct.
