LPG is a dominant cooking fuel of urban population and also, steadily penetrating in rural areas replacing other traditional sources of fuel which included fire wood, cow dung, coal, etc.

There are nearly 17 crore LPG consumers in the country with average refill of 35 lakh cylinders per day. The reach of LPG connections as well as providing timely services to the consumers has always kept in pace with the technological innovations. Provision of timely services and attending the grievances of the consumers continues to be critical for consumers’ satisfaction.

Available Web as well as Mobile phone based applications are extensively used to enable the new customers to get LPG connections and the existing customers to avail services. The Ministry has been taking all measures to leverage the Digital India initiative to make it more consumers friendly.
Presently, following citizen friendly services are being offered for the prospective and existing LPG consumers.

•Book Cylinder through IVRS -– allows consumer to book refill through their registered mobile number.
•Track Refill – It’s both Web and App based facility which shows consumer last 3 booking & delivery date
•Know Your Distributor –Web based facility provides distributor name, address, contact no , Sales officers name & email id
•Talk to Us – connects to call centre managed round the clock.
•Request for 2nd cylinder – allows consumer with single cylinder connection to request for additional cylinder.
•Mechanic Service – allows consumer to register request for mechanic service.
•Surrender connection – allows consumer to register request for surrendering connection.
•Rate your distributor – allows consumer to rate distributor on 5 service parameters, which enables the consumer to ascertain the quality of services provided by the distributor.
•Bank Detail – allows consumer to update Bank details for becoming Cash Transfer Complaint to avail the subsidy under ‘PaHal’ scheme.
•Opt out of Subsidy – provides option to ‘GiveItUp’ of LPG subsidy.
•Feedback Status – allows consumer to check status of any feedback submitted earlier

Ministry further wants to bring new innovations/improvement in services provided with an aim to enhance ‘quality’ of the services provided and transparency in transactions. Therefore, suggestions/creative inputs are solicited from the all the stakeholders on improving the services using communication platforms.

Lpg suply at door step. as in india 2 type of distributor is running i.e 1. Regular & 2. gramin Vitrak. as per my knowledge the commission per cylinder is equal to both but the major difference between them is that one has to do home delivery with seeing all safety measures of the customer during delivery and in another "gramin vitrak" agencies one releases refill at his godown.there should be two mrp with and without home delivery. why to pay 18rs extra if not availing door delivery. jai hind

Post delivery, please take feedback about the delivery boy from the customer (thru SMS or IVRS) that delivery boy collected extra money or not and how much ? and with that feedback, take action on him. Also detect extra collected money from his salary and tally the amount with next refill.

Sir I am a customer of Indane distributor, Gupta gas , Motihari , Bihar. The agency always gives delayed delivery, most frequently get deliver the refill after 20 to 25 days of booking. Also the major problem with the delivery is other than the delayed delivery i.e. the monopoly of the delivery man over the delivery of the refill cylinder . The delivery man always force the customer to pay extra charge of minimum 30 rupees, which goes up to 100 rupees During festive season,in the form of tip

Dear sir/madam I think you people have already provided enough facility from booking to receiving of subsidy. I would like you discuss on 2 things here 1. While booking they distributors are charging gas stove price more than the market price 2. The delivery person who is supplying is charging extra amount upto Rs. 40 for bringing and continue service of gas at home. This is costing us almost a cylinder cost a year.

IOCL is cancelling cashmemos in 3 days without any reason. It is irritating. Please ensure same cashmemo for supply once it is generated by distributor.

LPG subsidy is not being applied to new customers and whose bank accounts are getting deactivated. New connection will take some time for Aadhaar linking. So there should be a parking period, atleast of 2 months, so that illiterate people can get subsidy.

If a customer is not taking LPG cylinder for one year, then the connection is getting deactivated. This should be stopped. Because now there is no chance of diversion expected due to unused connection. Most important is if some one is not using LPG and depending mostly on solar power etc or out of station, there is only fuel saving for the country. So such customer should not be penalised for not using LPG. Please do not deactive connection for not using for 6 months or 1 year.

When we pay LPG refill amount online, it is charging Rs 8 extra as service charge. I preferred cash payment so that the same amount I could give to gas supply person. I feel they are paid very less and they work in dangerous environment. Please increase their charges/commission so that they do prompt supply.
