Indore has been shortlisted by the Ministry of Urban Development as one of the 100 cities for submitting the Smart City Proposal.
Smart City Mission emphasizes the development of the Smart City Proposal as a co-creation process, resulting in the evolution of a Plan which reflects Citizen’s consensus and support for the vision and goals enshrined in the plan.
In order to achieve this, Indore Municipal Corporation presents a platform to its residents to actively participate in making Indore a Smart City. The citizen’s engagement will focus on seeking citizen’s responses on innovative solution for improved livability and governance to meet their aspirations. Residents can post their ideas/suggestion pertaining to smart solutions in infrastructure services such as water supply, waste water recycling and conservation, energy management, sanitation including solid waste management, efficient urban mobility, robust IT connectivity and digitization, safety and security of citizen particularly women elderly, smart street lighting, public WiFi network, smart parking, development of non-motorized transport, sustainable environment, intelligent traffic management, health and education services using IT enabled smart applications, innovative use of open spaces or any other feature related to city infrastructure and services identifying creative and innovative solutions to common urban challenges.
