The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

sir my opinion is that most of the brilliant student after their 12th opted for medical or engineering, few of them opted for NDA. If the civil service one of the prestigious job is one of the option in front of students than it is good for the Bharat nirman. Their graduation will be completed at the academy for IPS at sardar vallabh bhai patel academy Hyderabad and for IAS at Mussorie just like it is done in national defence academy khadwasla Pune.

Class room environment provides basic knowledge of the matter but a proper training by well trained / expert people vis-a-vis class room education may change the scenario. There must be a vigorous training before joining the sector.

Certificates are not of use if a person does not understand the concept right and usage of the knowledge. It has to be theory+Practical sessions combined will only make this right.

Can Indian bring those processes back to Indian Universities to make it world class. India can look for raw materials for critical industries. Indian skilled manpower can be sent to Aus in bulk. Joint universities/ sports academy/ Film production/ research/ marine exploration etc can be explored. Army / navy training can be explored. Export of Textiles
