Popular interventions for and by officials in the local system, such as conditional cash transfers and incentives, do enhance the quality & relevance of their efforts thus increasing Ganga’s chances of survival and recovering her glory. Glory Calls The Tourist!

Garbage bins must be kept on every street with the indicator "USE ME" in the local language and English. Heavy fines must be in place for those who litter. This too must be communicated via heavy signage in all public areas. Trees must be preserved. All polluting vehicles must be serviced and those who don't should be served a warning with a heavy fine. Police & Local municipal corporations must keep their drains clean. All these efforts will help maintain the ecosystem and encourage tourism

I have suggested a roadmap for improving tourism while preserving the ecological balance of the region. They are basic steps required to be initiated in all eco sensitive areas. Although there are rules and regulation in papers their implementation has not been effective due to lack of will power by authorities. In such case, we can involve volunteers/NGOs willing to contribute towards development. It will help common ppl to participate in nation building and after all its our responsibility too.

Develop a Waterfront Marina along the Ganges where the flow of water is relatively calm. Will involve a hydro graphic study, suitable land acquisition and Infrastructure development. People will benefit from the huge waterfront and water sport activities. Job creation will happen due to shopping Malls, Eatery & Cafes coming up along with Marina operation and maintenance. Govt will be benefited with Land Leasing, Housing Infrastructure, Job Creations, Tourism and Taxation.

Dear Sir, one of the gravest reasons for having a cleanliness problem in India is because very few people have any respect for our Mother Land. We need to instill the feelings of respect and pride in every citizen of India. If they had pride and respect for our country they wouldn't litter and dirty our environment. We should start it from ground level. It should be made mandatory in schools to teach our children how to respect and take pride in our Nation.
