The Water Heroes – Share Your Stories Contest is being continued from 1st December, 2021 by Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India with the objective of promoting value of water, in general, and for supporting country-wide efforts on water conservation & management and sustainable development of water resources.
The participants will have to post their Success Stories in the field of water conservation and management, which will comprise of (i) a Write-up (upto 300 words), (ii) Pictures/ Photos and (iii) a video clips of one to five minutes duration depicting their efforts/ significant contributions/ best practices used in different parts of the country in the field of water conservation, water utilization or water resources development and management.
The participants will share their stories, pictures along with the link of their Youtube Video on MyGov portal. In addition to MyGov Portal, the entries may also be submitted to waterheroes.cgwb@gmail.com .
The contest will run for 12 months, it will end in November 2022.

All selected entries will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- each. Each month, a maximum of 10 entries shall be selected as winner.

Consultant in National Water Mission Ministry of Water Resources, RD & GR and get a very positive response from her.

Immense water pollution, the wrath of prolonged droughts, the dipping water table, water-borne diseases and more – these are just some of the many issues we constantly hear about when discussing water scarcity in India. There are people living in rural parts of the country who are fighting every day battles against harsh weather conditions and long distances to get access to safe drinking water. And then there are many urban dwellers who are stuck with limited water supply and poor quality
