A strategic vision shapes a preferred future for a city. A successful vision has economic, spatial, social and environmental dimensions that reflect city’s unique physical and cultural traits; it provides direction for the activities of the municipality, citizens and stakeholders; and ensures that citizens, city agencies, and stakeholders are working towards those shared sub-goals. The city vision captures what your city can be in the future, with the transformation being generally achieved within a ten to twenty year time-frame.
