Providing a digital identity to all individuals is crucial to facilitate electronic authentication for delivery of online public services. The digital identity must be unique, lifelong, online and authenticable. The digital identity should be easily verifiable in an online and cost-effective way. Aadhaar provides such a digital identity that also serves as a proof of identity and address for individuals. If such a digital identity could be linked to mobile phones in a secure manner, it would make the task of online authentication much easier at the level of the individual. As the penetration of mobile phones is high, this digital identity will facilitate the delivery of online services more easily.

\

Ideas and suggestions are welcome on how mobile phones and digital identity could be linked so that mobile phones can be used as instruments for online electronic authentication of individuals’ identities. The suggestions may include technical architecture and solutions, policy guidelines, process improvements, implementation mechanisms, cost effectiveness, operational efficiency, etc. You can upload your ideas in doc or pdf format.

I think online identity need to three layer of security like finger print, password, mobile authentic and also its connected all citizens services like bank, mobile, gas, electricity, ration , and bus, etc. For this purpose we need to create rules , law , own domain, separate public body.

Can rely on the device ID which is unique per device and an application which works on that. There should be a central authority which controls when a new sim is inserted to any device to map it to a unique individual based on this ID, which sits above all service providers. Ex: Airtel, vodaphone, etc. This must have activation channels using text messages(people without smart phone) and web interface. These service providers already have the unique ID with them, so should be easier to implement

With the fact poor, rural & many are inaccessible to internet & cost effectiveness, we need to utilize EXISTING SIM VERIFY service by sim provider in linking aadhar(any id) to mobile(sim). policy change (not mandatory) at the time of new sim purchase, replace, delete ... linking & unlinking of aadhar can be done. main idea : 1 call/dial say121like FREE service 2 pick u r language 3 service : details/link new/ update in phase redundant number be deleted .... mandate to verify once i

Here quick uodate in previous post if some one want more then one mobile number then primary mobile should be based on adhar number, other mobile number shell be link with it. Here family member can be part of default caller group if suitable stystem implement. If adhar no issued to child then adhar card can be linked with parent mobile and as child is eligible to carry mobile based on adhar card no mobile no will be issued.

I have one idea. My mobile number is connect with my pincode where I leave and with code given by my post office. Once I loging my number with pincode and post office number I will get benefit all my government scheme where ever I leaves. Suppose I change my place so that I will change my pincode and post office data and this will help government to crack down illigal activity and get exact digital identity user at any place in india. Also how many get active that also we can know.

Every person is living at some place in india. Every place is having unique pincode that is accessible through post office. It mean we have to link our mobile no with pincode and with post office unique code to get our identity. By doing that government should know that perticular mobile is in which place with unique mobile identity. This will improve many government service and help government to curb illigal activity in all area.0
