The Ministry of Finance is proposing a national initiative to provide all households in the country with banking services, with particular focus to empower the weaker sections of society, including women, small and marginal farmers and labourers, both urban and rural.

This task seeks inputs to design a Logo, name and tag line for the Finance Ministry's initiative. The last date of submision is 7th August 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

Name: Swadhan, Tag line: Banking. Sab ke liye. Significance: Swa+Dhan : 'Swa' denotes 'self/own', 'Dhan' denotes 'wealth'. The logo is simple and text-based without excessive graphics which could subdue the impact of the name. Gold font emphasises 'Dhan' along with the grain of wheat used in the logo. The green tag line emphasises 'grassroots' banking. Usage of tag line in the regional languages and stylising the font accordingly would aid brand recall by the programme's primary beneficiaries.

The main objective behind this logo is make the people believe in self-independent & a common simple symbol that is accepted and recognized in every corner of India.

the hands signify the support and aid by the govt
the lotus is symbol of purity prosperity and ambition
the people embedded in the lotus signify the people and democracy and the people of india and that this plan is by them for them.. the rupee in gold sun signifies the value of rupee to rwith individual prosperity and finance services provided.

The piggy bank (gullak) here is symbolic presentation of Kalash whereas the ATM card inserted in it presents Samridhi. Orange color presents village, the people & color green to their prosper life benefited by this plan of our Govt. Thankyou.
