INTRODUCTION

Technology has come to occupy an important place in modern life and is driving change all over the world. Driving this change are technology-based enterprises that are bringing the fruits of tech solutions to common individuals. Spearheading this new age tech revolution are tech Start-up’s that have mushroomed over the last couple of years. It bears testimony to the ingenuity of young tech minds that India has seen a number of unicorns crossing 100 this year. More are in the offing.

STPI–ESC INITIATIVE

STPI and ESC have enjoyed a long-standing relationship in service of the tech industry. STPI has played the role of a catalyst enabling the evolution of hundreds of IT enterprises all over the country. ESC has been engaged in continuous endeavors to take small and medium-sized electronics and IT units to different parts of the globe. Keeping in view the emergence of tech Start-up’s as an important pillar of economic growth, STPI and ESC have jointly launched the Start-up Initiative, aptly named “Building the Next Unicorn”.

The initiative will involve a three-tier approach as follows –
1. State Level Conclaves – September / October 2022
2. National Conclave – November 2022
3. Mission to the USA – January 2023
