www.YouthTelevision.tv, Birmingham, UK has been delivering employability skills for young people aged 18 to 25 years olds through training in media production and work placements in the arts and media industry. Such innovation is required not just to develop vocational skills but also to increase zeal for learning within unemployed youth. Training like this also opens up the creative industry as a viable career for young people from low economic backgrounds.

My points:- 1. Creating a national job portal for skilled Indians in PPP model. 2. Creating a national job portal for skill exports in foreign countries from India. 3. Creating a portal for entrepreneurship - help to start new business and access to funds from banks or venture capitalists. 4. Clear policy on Mobility of skilled personnel to get formal engineering and other educations. An example would be ITI trained personnel doing an industry relevant diploma or degree engineering course.

Skills and knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development of a country. In rapidly growing economies like India with a vast and ever-increasing population, the problem is two-fold. On one hand, there is a severe paucity of highly-trained, quality labour, while on the other; large sections of the population possess little or no job skills.

If government can open up a portal for artists and connect them after screening; then this portal can be used to bring forth opportunities and artists can sign up for those. That will ensure that the skill / talent is recognised and made valuable. It also provides transparency and reach for opportunities. It should NOT be a discussion forum. Kind of a job portal with tasks and people can reach out easily. I have not found anything like that in my limited research but believe it will help a lot.
