With the help of NGO's, Rotary and Municipal corporations should together discuss a plan for setting up proper toilets in every school in city as well as village. After making the survey for selected schools, How much fund is required to built such toilets has to be decided and then together can make fund raising. Being Rotarian, already made such toilets in two village schools by raising some funds from friends, comapnies, Rotarians etc and at the end we finished two toilets for 500 children.

1.Private agencies should be encouraged to enter in this business of toilet making and maintainance. 2. govt. should outsource this task of toilets maintainance to them for a given town 3. feedback should be taken from public using toilets and feedback system should be made online as well as offline so that any person can also upload images of toilets if they are not clean. 4.toilets must also be made smell free and they must look neat and clean.

First of all the toilets should be more open than our present sulabh facilities, they should be well ventilated and have more day light. A seem less floor should be constructed, such that dirt collection remains low. The taps should all be sensors such that the chance of people leaving them running is low. There should be diagrammatic illustration outside each toilet demonstrating the use of each feature therein. The grey water from basins could be used to water plants near by.

The waste could be linked to a biogas plant which can further generate energy that could be used to cook food in rural houses and also lighting the toilets and streets in such areas, also we can think of building rooftop rain water harvesting in some areas which will provide water for flushing. This would reduce the dependence on water supply and firewood for cooking in rural houses. This was one of the case studies done by Unicef Innovation.
