Reels2Road - Safe Roads Begin With You is organised by the Centre of Excellence for Road Safety (CoERS), IIT Madras, under the aegis of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), in collaboration with MyGov, to invite citizens to create short, original reel videos that communicate important road safety messages. The competition encourages responsible road behaviour and civic responsibility among all road users through concise and impactful visual storytelling.
Turn your creativity into a call for safer roads! Reels2Road invites you to create short, powerful reels that raise awareness about road safety and inspire responsible behaviour among all road users. Use your storytelling skills to spark positive change, because every safe journey begins with you.
Technical Parameters:
1.) Reel duration: 30 to 90 Seconds, suitable for Instagram/YouTube Shorts, public posting required.
2.) Include brief description (100+ words), and no watermarks.
3.) Can be in English or any regional language with English subtitles.
4.) Must strictly follow the given theme (Road safety)
5.) Entries must be original with no copyright infringement. No plagiarism, No offensive, inappropriate, or harmful content.
6.) Video format: Vertical (9:16 ratio)
7.) Post the reel on your official Instagram/ YouTube account by collaborating @coers_iitm page and tagging @morthindia & @iitmadrasofficial
8.) Submission of video links (with public view access)
Winner Selection Criteria:
Winners will be evaluated by a jury based on:
i. The clarity of the road safety message
ii. Creativity of storytelling
iii. Visual and technical quality
iv. Originality (no plagiarism)
v. Adherence to rules (length, hashtags)
vi. Public impact (likes, shares, comments)
vii. Overall effectiveness in promoting safe practices.
viii. All entries must comply with the submission terms and conditions.
Gratification:
1.) First winner to receive prize money of ₹10,000/-.
2.) Second winner to receive prize money of ₹5,000/-.
3.) Third winner to receive prize money of ₹3,000/-.
