The Sun has been worshipped as a life-giver to our planet since ancient times. India has a vast solar energy potential. The PM Suryaghar: Muft Bijli Yojana aims to integrate the use of solar energy in our everyday lives through the recently launched Rooftop Solar (RTS) Programme. With an initial target of covering one crore households, the scheme will enable beneficiaries to generate up to 300 units of electricity per month through solar panels. The beneficiaries can also avail subsidy up to ₹78,000. The scheme will reduce electricity bills and create new employment opportunities.

To drive awareness of the scheme Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and REC Limited in collaboration with MyGov are organizing PM SURYA GHAR MUFT BIJLI YOJANA Solar Wala Ghar Art Competition. Citizens are encouraged to submit their unique artwork that promotes solar energy and its advancements. The submissions can include models and projects made with clay that depict houses with solar panels. Participants can use as much creativity and imagination to create an eye-catching artwork.

Technical Parameters:
1. The artwork/ model must adhere to the theme of the competition.
2. Participants will have to submit high-quality photos of their project in .JPG format.
3. Participants must submit a brief writeup (approx. 200 words) describing their artwork, details of the model, and the materials used for the project.

Gratification:
1. The best artwork will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 15,000.
