      As a part of Independence Day Celebrations - 2026, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in collaboration with MyGov, invite citizens to participate in the Painting Competition on the Topic - Nuclear Energy in India@2047. This initiative aims to inspire participants to creatively envision the future of Nuclear Energy in India by the centenarian year of independence.

      Gratification:
      1. First prize: Rs.5000/-
      2. Second prize: Rs.4000/-
      3. Third prize: Rs.3000/-
      4. Additionally, the Ministry of Defence will send online invitation cards to the top 3 winners’ registered email addresses to attend the 2026 Independence Day Ceremony at the Red Fort in New Delhi.

      My painting represents my vision of “Nuclear Energy in India @2047”, where science, innovation, and sustainability work together to build a clean, safe, and self-reliant nation. The artwork highlights the peaceful use of nuclear energy in generating reliable electricity, advancing healthcare, strengthening agriculture, supporting scientific research, and protecting the environment. The blend of modern technology, green landscapes, renewable energy, and national progress symbolizes a future where India becomes a global leader in clean and responsible energy. Inspired by the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, this painting reflects my belief that peaceful nuclear technology can empower every citizen, promote sustainable development, and create a stronger, greener, and more prosperous India for future generations.

      🇮🇳परमाणु ऊर्जा भारत के स्वच्छ, सुरक्षित और आत्मनिर्भर ऊर्जा भविष्य का महत्वपूर्ण आधार है। यह ऊर्जा यूरेनियम जैसे परमाणु ईंधन से बिजली उत्पादन के लिए प्राप्त की जाती है। भारत में परमाणु ऊर्जा संयंत्र कम कार्बन उत्सर्जन के साथ बड़ी मात्रा में बिजली उत्पन्न करते हैं, जिससे पर्यावरण संरक्षण और ऊर्जा सुरक्षा को बढ़ावा मिलता है। परमाणु ऊर्जा विज्ञान, उद्योग, चिकित्सा, कृषि और अनुसंधान के क्षेत्र में भी महत्वपूर्ण योगदान देती है। इसका उद्देश्य देश की बढ़ती ऊर्जा आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करना और विकसित भारत के निर्माण में सहयोग देना है।

      My painting represents a vision of India in 2047, where nuclear energy becomes one of the strongest pillars of a clean, self-reliant, and technologically advanced nation. As India celebrates 100 years of independence, I imagine a future where science and innovation work together to improve the lives of every citizen while protecting our environment. The glowing light bulb at the center symbolizes knowledge, innovation, and the bright future of India. Inside it, I have illustrated a modern nuclear power plant surrounded by greenery, rivers, and clean skies to show that nuclear energy and environmental sustainability can coexist. The atom symbol represents peaceful applications of nuclear science that benefit society. On the left side, I have highlighted India's journey in nuclear science through Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha, BARC, scientific research, nuclear medicine, agriculture, and industrial applications.       My painting represents India's vision for 2047, where nuclear energy powers a clean, green, and self-reliant nation. I have shown modern nuclear power plants producing clean electricity, while the surrounding environment remains full of greenery, rivers, and wildlife to highlight harmony between technology and nature. Solar panels and wind turbines are also included to show that different clean energy sources can work together. In the background, I have drawn India's map with the tricolour and the year 2047 to represent progress, innovation, and national pride. The children, scientists, and happy families in the painting symbolise a bright future where nuclear energy supports education, healthcare, industries, and sustainable development for every citizen. My message is that safe and peaceful use of nuclear energy can help India become a developed nation by 2047.

      India mainly focused on peaceful uses of atomic energy. The idea was to use science for the benefit of people and to strengthen the nation. Although India had no nuclear power plants in 1947, this period became the starting point of a long and important scientific journey.

      This artwork envisions India's Nuclear Energy Mission 2047 as a banyan tree , a symbol of enduring wisdom and growth. Its roots glow gold where they meet thorium crystals, representing India's unique three-stage nuclear program built on its own thorium reserves, not borrowed uranium models. A diya at the base, its flame turning into an atomic nucleus, links ancient civilizational light to modern atomic power. Above, an atom orbits the Ashoka Chakra, merging science with national identity.
