My painting represents a vision of India in 2047, where nuclear energy becomes one of the strongest pillars of a clean, self-reliant, and technologically advanced nation. As India celebrates 100 years of independence, I imagine a future where science and innovation work together to improve the lives of every citizen while protecting our environment.
The glowing light bulb at the center symbolizes knowledge, innovation, and the bright future of India. Inside it, I have illustrated a modern nuclear power plant surrounded by greenery, rivers, and clean skies to show that nuclear energy and environmental sustainability can coexist. The atom symbol represents peaceful applications of nuclear science that benefit society.
On the left side, I have highlighted India's journey in nuclear science through Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha, BARC, scientific research, nuclear medicine, agriculture, and industrial applications. These achievements demonstrate how nuclear technology has contributed not only

My painting represents India's vision for 2047, where nuclear energy powers a clean, green, and self-reliant nation. I have shown modern nuclear power plants producing clean electricity, while the surrounding environment remains full of greenery, rivers, and wildlife to highlight harmony between technology and nature. Solar panels and wind turbines are also included to show that different clean energy sources can work together. In the background, I have drawn India's map with the tricolour and the year 2047 to represent progress, innovation, and national pride. The children, scientists, and happy families in the painting symbolise a bright future where nuclear energy supports education, healthcare, industries, and sustainable development for every citizen. My message is that safe and peaceful use of nuclear energy can help India become a developed nation by 2047.

India mainly focused on peaceful uses of atomic energy. The idea was to use science for the benefit of people and to strengthen the nation. Although India had no nuclear power plants in 1947, this period became the starting point of a long and important scientific journey.

This artwork envisions India's Nuclear Energy Mission 2047 as a banyan tree , a symbol of enduring wisdom and growth. Its roots glow gold where they meet thorium crystals, representing India's unique three-stage nuclear program built on its own thorium reserves, not borrowed uranium models. A diya at the base, its flame turning into an atomic nucleus, links ancient civilizational light to modern atomic power. Above, an atom orbits the Ashoka Chakra, merging science with national identity. The canopy opens into a starlit map of India, where light spreads through villages and small towns, not just cities depicting decentralized Small Modular Reactors reaching rural India. At its base, a farmer, a mother, a schoolgirl, and scientists stand together, symbolizing a vision built for every generation. Together, the painting shows India's path to 100 GW by 2047 as self-reliant rooted in its own resources and people, turning ancient roots into atomic power for a Viksit Bharat.

Roots of Progress, Wings of the Future
My painting portrays Nuclear Energy in India@2047 as the "Tree of National Progress." The glowing atomic core at its heart symbolizes clean, safe and peaceful nuclear energy, while the roots represent decades of scientific research, innovation and dedication by Indian scientists. From these strong roots grow branches that nurture healthcare, sustainable agriculture, clean water, advanced industries, reliable electricity, space exploration, education and self-reliant villages.
The young girl holding the lamp represents the aspirations of the next generation, whose dreams are illuminated by knowledge and responsible technology. The painting conveys that nuclear energy is not merely a source of electricity—it is the invisible foundation that empowers a healthier, greener, stronger and self-reliant India. My vision for 2047 is a nation where science serves humanity, development respects nature, and innovation benefits every citizen.
