Kakinada city is the headquarters of East Godavari District.It is one of the fastest developing cities in Andhra Pradesh with a population of 3,25,985 (as per 2011 census). It is the 4th largest city by area and 7th largest by population in Andhra Pradesh. Kakinada over’s an area of 31.69 sq.km. It is located at 16.930N 82.220E.The 82-degrees east longitude passes through the city. Population Density within the city is 10,287(as per 2011 census). Kakinada has a tropical savanna climate with hot, humid weather most of the year. The average annual rainfall in the area is 1186 mm. Kakinada is the base for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation’s Eastern Offshore Asset. According to 2011 census, literacy rate of the city is 81%.Kakinada city has a diversified economic base. The pillars of the city’s economy are ports, marine, education, tourism, administration and trade, and commerce and industrial sectors.

Instead of using brick and mortar dividers to divide roads of two way traffic lanes, we can plant asoka trees as the dividers. This would greenify and beautify the city. Since the trees dont branch out, they wouldn't obstruct the roads. Their coniferous shape,strong yet flexible stem and given they are planted in close proximity can withstand winds. The cost of project would be less than that required for cement dividers.#smartcity #kakinada #greenindia

SIR RTC BUSES are running beside Town hall. So three centres (1) bALAJI CHERUVU CENTER (2) GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL CENTER (3)KALPANA CENTER SHOULD DEVELOP AND MAKE WIDEN.

SIR MY proposal to divide Gandhipark into 4 PARTS.Part(1)Yoga and education center,Library cum Reading room,Children indoor games,Canteen,toilets,ACQUARIUM etc. part(2).Swimming pool,Open air auditorium,Skating ring.Part(3)Complete children play sand Area with play Amenities.Part(4)COMPLETE Landscape with lawn grass and Horticulture related..At center square Elders sitting area with Audio songs and relaxed Area..All building tops should provide SOLAR PANELS TO Generate own power.

sir please make widen all cross roads in mainroad starting from II Town police station to to Andhra polytechnic.Its better to widen Cinema street and Devalayam street for easy traffic. All Temples AND bIG MASQUE at Main road should be REMOVED. Nookalamma temple should be removed make widen of Nookalamma street.

The open lavatories by the people which include mostly the people from the nearby bar and the main road which is just beside this open area.This open area actually belongs to one of the natives of the colony but he is least bothered about this though we have complained about this.Our next step will be probably meeting our District Collector to intervene in this matter.

I belong to Lalitha Nagar Colony near Sarpavaram Junction,Kakinada.I am proud to be a Kakinadian and this makes me a more responsible citizen as it got placed in the list of Smart Cities proposed. I do believe in myself and my city that we can accomplish this dream and I am my family will take any kind of pain for making Kakinada one of the most beautiful in India and the World.As a part of this we are fighting against the situations in our colony to stop the open lavatories by the people around
