The Ludhiana Municipal Corporation is pleased to inform you that our city has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with 98 other cities to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16. The city is in process of formulating a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with citizens and other stakeholders. We want to hear from you about your needs and aspirations to make Ludhiana a Smart City.

“Ludhiana- Jiven Main Vekhan or My Vision for Ludhiana” –A vision Competition

• The question you need to answer is “What is your vision for Ludhiana smart city”?
• Maximum word limit – 50 words.

The competition shall be closed on 1st November, 2015.

The best 3 Vision Statements would be declared as winners.

Prize Money (Cash / Vouchers / Gift items):

• 1st Prize: INR 15,000/-
• 2nd Prize: INR 10,000/-
• 3rd Prize: INR 5,000/-
• Consolation Prizes (25 nos.): INR 1,000/- each

How to Submit

All the entries must be submitted in the space provided.

Terms and Conditions

All participants must clearly state the following details with their entries:

• Full Name
• Father’s Name
• Mother’s Name
• Address
• Age
• Contact number (with area code)

The participants can respond in English or Punjabi. The winner will be chosen on the basis of originality in content, innovation in ideas that are grounded in reality. The decision of Ludhiana Municipal Corporation on selection of top three winners and consolation prize winners shall be final. City official can participate in the competition but will not be eligible for rewards.

THE SECOND VERY IMPORTANT ISSUE IS THAT IN LUDHIANA RAILWAY STATION THERE IS NO CHECKING OF LUGGAGE OF PASSENGERS WHICH IS A HIGH RISK FOR MANY LIVES AS ANYONE CAN COME WITH BOMBS AND ANYONE CAN ENTER TO RAILWAY STATION WITH BOMBS WHICH MAY CAUSE A GREAT DISASTER,, I REQUEST U TO PAY ATTENTION TO MY VIEWS AND MAKE #LUDHIANA #SMARTCITY NAME-FARNEET KAUR AGE-21 PHN NO- 8427759997

Safety for girls and ladies The Useless Comments passed by People sitting outside the wine-shops..i think the girls face this situation very commonly.. so i think that step should be taken for the safety of girls.. The very live example in ludhiana that i have seen (BHAU CHICKEN CORNER,GILL CHOWK LUDHIANA) they have make their sitting on the road and people drink over there.. and pass comments to the passers (GIRLS and LADIES) i shall be very thankful to you if you will take my views srsly

my vision for ludhiana is a clean smart and responsible city in the whole india..ludhiana is a smart city already the only thing is the smartness of people who can still do a lot individually by coming up as a community and perform their honest deeds in making a safer cleaner and modern ludhiana with safer environment for all... my vision for ludhiana is a clean smart and best city in punjab and even entire india... for this what i feel as a responsible fellow citizen is sharing community tasks with people and observe constructive methods that help us move together and work for the needs of our city and society....all issues will be covered in this aspect...the only thing is that we need to step together and reform our committment towards our city just like we care for our personality our loved ones...

i see Ludhiana on the top of the list in terms of business environment and in terms of infrastructure. infrastructure is one of the important thing in the development of an region . honorable pm of India is focusing on make in india and Ludhiana is fulfilling his dream from past years. so as to promote the initiative of this we must develop Ludhiana as an model for the rest of the cities in terms of infrastructure,solid waste management ,connectivity etc. jaskaran singh 9914499441

My Vision for Ludhiana it Should make Beautiful,clean and Green city.We should make the road very clean without any dust.We have to vaccume Truck which suck all dust from road.And in this city should have foot path with pedestrian crossing signal lights for the people Safety.The biggest thing is road traffic rules and regulation.Traffic police should strict about the rule.the three wheeler are the main thing to increase traffic and pollution.Police have to install the speeding camera with flash

Ludhiana-1.Industrialists in the city must contribute funds from profits as part of CSR. 2.Planting of trees must be compulsorily undertaken by industrialists to undo environmental harm caused. 3.To avoid traffic congestion during rains & also allow water harvesting,roads must be constructed using 'topmix permeable concrete'which does not allow any water to stagnate on the road. Ludhiana is a nice city but i want it to be a smart city.it should have greenery everywhere.it should have metaled roads everywhere.it should be neat and clean.there should be clean supply of drinking water.there should be all time supply of electricity.there should be proper network of broadband.there should be proper control of traffic by the police.i want Ludhiana the best city of Punjab.after these changes it would be smart city.this is my vision for Ludhiana and i want it to be like this.
