This land of Bharat is known for its celebration of bright and colourful costumes that vary according to the different geographical, climatic and cultural traditions of the region. These dresses have their own stories to tell that serve to create a common identity and joyful bonding for its wearers.
The Traditional dress competition, being organized by the IKS Division of Ministry of Education at AICTE, is a special opportunity for you to showcase your traditional dress to the world.
Follow these simple steps:-
1) Put on your best regional costume.
2) Take a memorable colourful picture.
3) Then send it to us here with a description in 150 words telling us all about its history, about its weavers, about how it was made and about its significance for your community.
NOTE- This competition is for school children from Classes 1 to 5.
The last date of submission is 31 August 2022.
