Youngsters and children are hereby invited to participate in Essay writing competition for Smart City Srinagar. The objective of the essay competition is to understand the aspirations of the citizens as to how they foresee the development of their city. The essay should focus on:
-The vision and goals for the City
-Srinagar City: its cultural and natural heritage
-The main USP (Unique Selling Proposition) of the city
-Your idea of ideal Smart City and facilities that should be provided to all the citizens
-Major issues and challenges in the city
-Solutions that can be adopted to address these issues
-Highlight top priority areas that need immediate attention
-Areas to be developed in the City

Maximum word limit for Essay writing: 1000 words

Topic
“Srinagar Smart City”

The competition is open for young children must be between 10 to 18 years of age as on 01.10.16
The Top 3 Essays will be awarded with certificate along with Cash Incentive:
1st Prize – Rs.7000 /- (Seven Thousand only)
2nd Prize – Rs.5000 /- (Five Thousand only)
3rd Prize – Rs.3000 /- (Three Thousand only)

The Competition will close on 20th October, 2016

Terms and Conditions
1.The submission will be accepted in English, Urdu and Hindi language.
2.The submissions will be evaluated on the basis of Do-ability (20%), Innovation (30%) and potential for uptake under the Smart Cities proposal (50%).
3.All the participants must clearly mention following details along with their submission:-

-Name of the school/college/organization –
4.The decision of JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) for selecting the winner shall be treated as Final.
