The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

The logo symbolizes digital connectivity throughout India.
1)The Quadrilateral background represents our country which also represents our map. Brownish north indicates Himalayan range and bluish south indicates the southern part surrounded by Sea.
2)The colors (saffron,green & white) are the colors of our National flag which represents our whole Nation
3) The white connectivity lines represents digital connectivity among the whole Nation(bread board connection in Digital Electronics)
