The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

The theme (colour and design) is inspired from a circuit board and Askoka Chakra in the National Flag. The combination makes for good representation of a Digital India, although, the colour can be changed if required.

The D Letter shows digital growth and speed of India with the national bird peacock in our tri-colours. And the Ashoka Chakra standing as an eye or vision o Indian.
