The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

e Bharat. The word Bharat is very important because it speaks of our root and originality. e stands for complete digitalisation in our work field. The caption “dhiyo yonah prachodayat” is the excerpt from Gayatri mantra which imbibes us to be inspired, enlightened, and ignited.
This caption may be replaced by the excerpts from Taittriya Upanishad which is “saha viryam karvavahai” meaning “work together with vigour”

At center-circle, connectivity-symbol, frame of monitor & enter-key together represent Indian citizen in sitting posture with hands up depicting him empowered digitally. 3 connectivity symbols represent INDIAN TALENT, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY & INVESTMENT TODAY. Larger picture of IT-INDIA TOMORROW emerges depicting India as a Knowledge Center & Digitally Empowered Nation. In Key-Board डिजिटल इंडिया is incorporated in tricolour.
