Ministry of Home Affairs initiated the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) scheme to fully computerize the process of crime registration, investigation, prosecution etc. in all police stations in the country.

CCTNS is a mission mode project to connect more than 20000 police stations and higher police offices around the country and digitize the functioning of the police stations in order to enable seamless sharing of crime related information among Police Stations, Districts, State headquarters and other agencies, including those at the Government of India level.

Additionally, Centre citizen portal is being designed to provide the following online services to the citizens -

a. Report a crime
b. Report Cyber Crime
c. Cyber fraud alert
d. Report lost property
e. Report missing and found persons
f. Police verification services
g. Grievances
h. Proclaimed Offenders
i. Sex offender registry
j. Victim compensation
k. Legal services
l. Anonymous tips
m. Locate a Police Station
n. Crime Statistics
o. Citizen Rights

CCTNS project, once fully implemented, will strengthen information exchange about crime and criminals among all the police stations in the country which will significantly enhance the effectiveness of the police in investigating cases which will directly benefit the Citizens of the Country. It will also facilitate various online services as indicated above and increase satisfaction level of the people. With integration of Thana, Prosecution, Court and Prison systems, procedural delay of various types will get reduced in Indian courts and better analytics will be available with the key decision makers.

Citizens of India are invited to design a suitable logo for Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS).

Cash Prize for winning logo: Rs. 1 lakh.

Last Date for Submission is 31st August, 2015.

It is necessary that people have the ease of reporting, social media can be a big player in this regard. Sometimes complicated data such as videos and images are required to report a crime. In your android you have to just press share. Once you share put #crimefreeindia and # for eg #shimla. An automated script will track for the combination '#crimefreeindia' and '#shimla'. Any content with both the tags will be visible instantly in the respective LOCAL POLICE STATION.

CCTNS Logo depicts a set of handcuffs surrounded by a pair of olive branches which are the perfect motif for peace. The design in itself is self explanatory of how we want to end the crime and place the criminals within the arms of Mother Peace.

This logo is based on theme of CCTNS. Features of the logo: 1. The Eye: It shows that the whole system(police and other institution) is watching everybody (criminal). 2. The Indian emblem : It shows that at the center of system the nation is there to watch everybody and the system is governed by the people itself. 3. The retina of the eye: It show the whole system is connected(digital connection) to each other. Thus the logo shows the union of the system and the people digitally to fight.

As CCTNS is all about Crime and criminal tracking , the red dot and two C indicates a cyber signal being transmitted , its color red indicates that the signal transmitted is of a crime, at the end of the signal (the first C) we have a criminal under arrest , hence the logo portray a crime signal being transmitted from (NTS core ) which results in end of the crime i.e. by criminal’s arrest . And it visually its translates as CCTNS.

The logo is made with the vision of objectives of providing a universal platform for reporting crimes and a computerized technique of handling the process.The globe-like structure represents the law and the line swooshing it represent the citizens accessing it with freedom.The tricolor tone here represents with the dual-tone and white-band representing citizens shows the equality treated in this diverse country by the law.I hope you have got my vision and idea about the logo and would appreciate

I have tried to reflect CCTNS 's project to connect all police stations and higher police offices around the country and digitize the functioning. So the box represent a computer and CCTNS is connected with Internet & crime reports logged by people . The ministry is corner, police station represented by small blue squares . As crime is dangerous so orange colour CCTNS will resolve is in soothing colour like blue or green and square means the ministry will square up or resolve.
