Background note for e-Kranti

• e-Kranti is one of the nine pillars identified under the Digital India Programme, which aims to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.

• In order to upscale and ramp up eGovernance initiatives across the country, National eGovernance Plan 2.0 titled “e-Kranti” has been formulated by DeitY with a focus on transforming eGovernance for transforming Governance. The e-Kranti framework has three main components:

1) Core principles: These include ‘Transformation and not Translation’, ‘Integrated Services and not Individual Services’, Government Process Reengineering to be mandatory in every MMP’, ‘Infrastructure on Demand’, ‘Cloud by Default’, ‘Mobile First’, ‘Fast Tracking Approvals’ and ‘Mandating Standards and Protocols’.

2) Institutions & instruments: These include ‘establishing a ‘National e-Governance Academy’, creating an ‘e-Governance Knowledge Portal’, creating an ‘e-Governance Impact Index’ and ‘effective use of social media’.

3) Implementation & delivery models: These include ‘transforming the delivery channels’, ‘awareness and communication’, ‘introducing new business models’ and ‘emphasis on undertaking exports of eGov solutions / applications and international cooperation’.

This task seeks inputs to design a Logo and suggest a Tagline for National e-Governance Plan 2.0 - eKranti.

Last Date of Submission is 20th January, 2015.

The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/-.
