The National priority is to create infrastructure in order to provide basic (water supply, sanitation, sewerage & drainage) services to households and build amenities in cities which will improve the quality of life for all, especially the poor and the disadvantaged. The purpose of Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) is to, (1) ensure that every household gets a tap with assured supply of water and sewerage connection, (2) increase the amenity value of cities by developing greenery and well maintained open spaces (e.g. parks) and, (3) reduce pollution by switching over to public transport or constructing facilities for non-motorized transport (e.g. walking and biking). It will further aim to improve governance, especially electronic delivery of services.

Ministry of Urban Development invites citizens to design a Logo and create a Tagline for Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT).

The last date for submission is 4th May, 2015 by 3.00 p.m.

Cash Prize for winning logo: Rs. 25,000

Each alphabet of this logo represents the purpose of the mission. A- The Logo starts with priority service of the mission i.e. water supply, sewerage & drainage. M- Represents switching over to public transport. R- Represents the Urban Transformation which includes in itself all other alphabets (services). U- Represents electronic delivery of services. T- On one hand represents rejuvenation while on the other also represents the development of greenery in the cities.

Used butterfly as a symbol of transformation. Upper left wing consist pollution free environment, lower left wing shows connectivity, upper right wing shows greenery and lower right wing shows tap water.

My logo for AMRUT. In my logo i have tried to explain mission of AMRUT. Four icons inside circle explains purpose of AMRUT that is -proper water supply, reduce pollution, developing greenery, using public transport to reduce pollution. And on outer circle i have shown legs made with leaves which is indicating a unite mission or step towards green city leading to rejuvenation and urban transformation.
