The National Archives of India is the repository of the non-current records of the Government of India and is holding them in trust for the use of administrators and scholars. It is an Attached Office of the Ministry of Culture.
It was set up on 11 March 1891 in Calcutta (Kolkata) as the Imperial Record Department. With the subsequent transfer of the National Capital from Calcutta to New Delhi in 1911, it was shifted to its present building in 1926 at the crossing of Janpath and Rajpath.
National Archives of India seeks entries for logo for 125th anniversary celebrations.
Citizens are invited to design/suggest a suitable logo for the occasion.
The last date of submission is 2nd March, 2015 (11:00 a.m).
The selected entry will be awarded a prize of Rs. 50,000/-.

Documentation of happenings in human civilisation are documented for references and study for the generations ahead. Indian National Archieves are celebrating its 125th year of existence and service to nation. On the same theme, documenting the civilisation is exhibited is potrayed in this logo.

This logo is suitable for the occasion because it showing "125th Anniversary Celebration" text with "since 1891" which we need to show in the logo. Folder shape created in between no. 2 & 5 contents indicative indian tri-color files to represent the indian archives in the file reposited, protected & alive. Stars in circle also gathered to glitter the event. Govt of India Emblem with The National Archives of India logo on top gives info. about occasion organized by the National Archives of India
