Ministry of Women & Child Development seeks entries for the design of a badge to be worn by Gender Champions in schools and colleges. The mission of Gender Champions is to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment. Gender Champions can be both men and women. They emphasize on mindset change through sensitization, awareness raising and community mobilization of the common people on ground.

Gender champions are a joint intervention of Ministry of WCD & HRD. They shall be identified in each and every school and vocational/ skill development institute by the concerned authorities as mandated by Ministry of Human Resource Development. These gender champions shall be entrusted with the responsibility of sensitising their family members, peers and community about gender equality and issues related to women empowerment.

The last date of submission of entry is 1st August 2015.

The winning entry shall be awarded ₹5,000/-

THIS LOGO SHOWS THE EQUALITY OF THE GENDER AS WE BELIEVE GIRL CHILD AND BOY CHILD ARE EQUAL. AND THE EQUALITY IS BASED ON EDUCATION OF THEM....

A girl and boy is portrayed.Their hands is held straight to shown they are equal.Both are is given in half black to show there is no differences in them and their other half in colour shows their physical differences.These coloured hands are joined to show their difference is essential bcuz country grows only when they both work together.Blue shows wisdom,loyalty and yellow-optimism,happiness.Girl is given coloured hair to stress they and gender champions are unique.Same badge in 2 size attached

This batch shows the symbol of female gender. And also a smiling face of female child in the circle shows her safe and bright future. Golden colour indicates illumination, love, compassion, courage, passion, magic, and wisdom. Black colour associates with self-confidence and power. These are essential qualities for a champion.
