MOST OF THE ENGINEERING COLLEGES HAVE POOR WORKSHOP INFRASTRUCTURE & SHORTAGE OF SKILLED FACULTIES. DGET INSTITUTES, CLASS-I ITIs & ALSO DEGREE & DIPLOMA ENGG COLLEGES ARE LOCATED IN CITIES. DGET INSTITUTES & ITIs IMPLEMENTING AVTS & COE PROGRAMS SHOULD JOIN THESE ENGG COLLEGES & START REVENUE GENERATION BY PROVIDING ENGG STUDENTS - 1. PERIODICAL PRACTICAL GUIDANCE FOR COMPLETING LAB TASKS 2. FINAL PROJECT GUIDANCE & ASSISTANCE 3. INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE & EXPOSURE TO INCULCATE EMPLOYABLE SKILLS.

TODAY MOST OF THE PRODUCT MANUFACTURERS (E.G. AUTOMOTIVE, APPLIANCES, ETC) ARE NOT HAVING TRAINING INFRA & SPACE IN THE MAIN CITIES. SO THEIR SERVICE TECHNICIANS ARE GOING TO THEIR COMPANY TRAINING CENTRE WHICH IS FAR AWAY FROM DEALERS POINT & ALSO IN THE REMOTE PLACE & THUS TIME CONSUMING & COSTLIER AFFAIR. HENCE, AVTS TRAINING PROGRAMS OF DGET & STATE DETs SHOULD OPEN THE DOORS FOR PRIVATE MANUFACTURERS FOR CONDUCTING THEIR "NEW PRODUCT TRG PROGRAMS" & "PRODUCT UP-GRADATION TRG PROGRAMS".

Most of the new companies started during the last decade are not bothering about welfare of skilled workers & concentrating more on profit making. Almost all the new manufacturers are not recruiting regular tradesman & using contractors offering low salary max up to Rs 6000 & due to this industrial disputes increasing more. So it is essential to modify Minimum Wages Act depend upon category of company & level of workers i.e. Unskilled Labourers, Semi-Skilled, Skilled & Highly Skilled Workers.

No one wants to close unpopular trades. Redesigning Foundry-man (Moulding) is highly recommended in to emerging field of Plastic Injection Moulding OR any other having demand in the HR Market. Instead we are wasting 1/60 part of students life on the turning point of their career increases frustration & wasting total Life's Goodness & nobody has granted this right to us. So appoint a team to study the HR Market, trend in Global & Indian Industries & make research & redesign Job Oriented courses.

engineers/diploma holders have no shop floor experience when they pass out from engg colleges/polytechnic ,an intern ship like that of medicos be introduced.Lateral entry at all levels will enrich competition and enthuse new blood as also keep everyone interested to harness their skills we should entrust the top positions jointly to generalist and specialists having experience of shop floor to have excellent blend of both ,decision making to have only two levels ie recommendation approving auth

To learn how to swim, one has to dive into the water. Just reading a book on swimming is useless. This is the major drawback of our education system. We do a lot of study, but very few practical things. Even if we do a bit of practical things, those are outdated and do not have any meaning. When a student joins industry, he has to start from the scratch. If you do a survey, most of the students will tell that they are using very less of what they have learnt in last 3-4 years during graduation.

Corporate companies should set up training institutes for students after High school or after Graduation. They should train these students as per their requirement & recruit them in their companies. This way they get skilled labour & students need not worry about their employment. These students can later join similar company with their well equipped skills. For eg. if Maruti starts this type of institute,it can get skilled labour & students can also join another automobile company later.
