This task requires you to identify 10 most important initiatives that centre and state governments should take to realise the PM’s vision of digital India.

There has been a flood of suggestions in response to the Prime Minister’s vision for a digital India. It is important to prioritize the ideas and come up with a practical roadmap of what can be taken up first with maximum benefit to the nation. This task will help in drawing such a roadmap.

1. Without power (electricity) this all is useless. 2. Connect ADHAAR card to all of the other documents, records like PAN, License, Property, Passport, Bank accounts. It should be a Social security number of Indian citizen. As ADHAAR scheme is half way through we can push it further after removing hurdles. 3. We will have to build tabs, laptops of our own, like Akash tablet to save foreign currency 4. Use models like Passport Seva Kendra 5. “IT security” is must while implementing this all.

A India Enterprises portal like india.gov.in will be converted in to a intranet on government network like NIC, DOT, RAILTEL etc and information to be made public should be made available on internet either free or through RTI. All govt department should use eoffice suite developed by NIC, should be used on intranet for paperless working. Developing separate application for each department and integrating others at later stage will be costly and time consuming. Thus eoffice is good for all.

Unique identification allotment to every citizen based on biometric readings. 2. Reliable and uninterrupted electricity to every resident. 3. Availability of low cost and high speed internet to cities, urban spreading to every village. 7. INDIAN Citizen Card: ALL IN ONE, SMART CARD for every citizen of India. This one card shall fulfill almost all requirements which are required for banking, taxation, address proof, bill payments, insurance, medical facilities etc. 8.Biometric data captured during ADHAAR can be utilized. 9. E-Voting/ M-Voting has to be achieved to say truly we are DIGITAL INDIA....

1. Internet reach at all parts of the country at affordable price. 2. Enhancement of Indigenous digital manufacturing. 3. Biometric attendance capturing and installation of CCTVs at all govt. offices. 4. Providing GPRS/Net facility on every mobile through out the country. BSNL has to play a key role. 5.Single window system at Post offices for helping rural people with online facilities to start with. Multipurpose kiosks in next phase. 6. Networking and notational Data base management system.

1-Digitalisation of bank transactions 2- Personal digital files(to submit documents) 3- Digital tickets in public transport 4-Digital health file 5-E money 6-E invoices after introduction of GST 7-As per new guidlines issue banking licence to postal dept,railways,state transport,will help to have atleast two bank accounts in a family as finance minister said.8-Zero income tax for individuals(still increase revenue) Demonstration on all aspects of application,implementation,will be presented
