This task requires you to identify 10 most important initiatives that centre and state governments should take to realise the PM’s vision of digital India.
There has been a flood of suggestions in response to the Prime Minister’s vision for a digital India. It is important to prioritize the ideas and come up with a practical roadmap of what can be taken up first with maximum benefit to the nation. This task will help in drawing such a roadmap.
many students cannot buy textbooks, due to highcost, and unavailability in libraries....in wikipedia, a project is started, aiming to create, ""open source digital text books"", from lkg to graduation, our govt must start a " open source digital text book platform" for poor, like wikipedia open souce textbooks, where anyone can create content, then students who were in dark can come out....
My DigitalIndia.
I suggest a few more-
1.Digital mapping of community resources -human,land,water etc
2.Need based planning for each panchayath using software for planning, monitoring and evaluation
3.Smart card IDs given to all stake holders in poverty alleviation programme
Digitize India for inclusive development-we need to take 10 simple steps
1.All schools and ICDS must use digitize their reporting system
2.E learning and M-learning must become an integral part with virtual classrooms, digital library multi media and student centered FAQs
3.District planning must be digitised with reports from MPs,MLAs and govt department each quarter and available on public domain
4.Wi-FI must be available in all schools and colleges at nominal cost
Digital India - Make Citizens to Trust Government Machinery
9. need of national mailing web site and national search engine whose servers are located in India and under the control of PMO for the sake of national security.
10. use postal department buildings in villages as online information centers for farmers and villagers with the support of the postal department employees at a nominal fee.
5. create a single govt. portal, so that people of India can surf individual govt. websites through this portal. 6. upgrade all the govt. server with the best available servers and software so that people who wants to access data need not wait for long. 7. remove middile man culture especially from the online services provided by Govt.(ex:- railway ticketing). 8. create an online knowledge hub about india and indian origin history and present. continued in the next post.
1. Satellite and electronic industry
2. satellite education in rural areas.
3. Digital medical care in rural areas.
4. Digital knowledge to farmers about agriculture techniques (palmtops).
5. Internet as a federal right of indian citizens (free internet for all)
6 Investment and budgetary allocations to ISRO
7. E-Tourism industry
8. Smartphone manufacturing in india
9. Access to computer technology in rural areas
10. GSLV mk 3 development for launch of heavy satellites
1. Where ever possible be digital instead of using paper doc use scan copy
2. There should be a active grievance cell where civilian can complain anonymously for public offices
3. Make the education system/ exam online so the paper usage will be less
4. Make passport police verification online for all states
5. Have to have some solutions for id proofs for the persons who have to roam across India for job.
1. give nation wide unique no.for the residential, commercial and industrial buildings. 2. adhaar card is not useful as it has become another govt. document. i suggest to take an initiative to provide a similar kind of card which is similar to USA's SSN card 3.avoid human contact while dealing with govt. departments by making each and every govt. dept. provides services on line. 4. make power supply a prepaid service rather than a post paid service with a fool proof mechanism. see next post.
