Most of the advanced countries the awareness about social responsibility towards keeping the environment clean starts at a very early stage. What is needed is addition of social responsibility subject added in curriculum in primary schools and the children to be sensitized. A drive to create a feeling that littering places is a sign of unacceptable social behavior and is criminal to the degree that this could lead to diseases being spread can help correct elders as well through Children.

I have been to Germany few times. I was impressed by their bin system of waste disposal. Attached pdf explains the different types of bins. These bins are placed almost every where and maintained very well. Also would like to mention the refund for recyclable bottles. Whenever you buy bottles 10-25 cents are charged which is refundable at any grocery store. They have dedicated stations outside grocery store for this. Attached are the pictures. Pls ignore by pevious post.

Create pubic awareness about keeping the whole road where they live, clean and not the front of their house only. Be strict with the public, don't view them as voting holy cows. Don't go too far. Sri Lanka, our dwarf neighbour has hundreds of clean, smart practices. Let us learn. 2. Before creating a city, facilities for people should be earmarked for the next 100 years.. America is the best example. 3. Get NGOs and Corporate help in designing and developing Clean India Movement.

Implement strict fine on littering as implemented by Dubai government. At same time provide sufficient waste collection points and encourage to keep their own city/place clean.
