The contractors are offering 40% pay cut to the contract workers at Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant in Tamil Nadu. The protesting workers were suspended.Due to severe agitation and intervention of the state government, the work has now been reinstated.Nuclear power plant management is complicit. Slavery is still practiced in the country. If desired in LCS mode, employees can be recruited with the help of respective district administration. .The Kudankulam nuclear power plant issue is an example of  human resource exploitation.Workers are not fully paid for their labor where the nuclear department is under direct control. How about private companies?.Is it fair for the government to ignore the reduction of wages on account of contract workers?Employees can be recruited through  labour contract society mode through the District Employment Centre. The labor contract society system is a direct contract signed between the workers and the company. No third party intervention required.
