I am very concerned about the increasing uses of fertilisers and chemicals that leads to harmful effects on the environment and decreases the fertility of soil. Actually farmers are forced to use these harmful chemicals and pesticides to grow enough crops to feed the growing human population. However many farmers are unable to buy these agrochemicals as these are too expensive. So there is a way to minimise the use of fertilisers and chemical by the use of GENETICALLY MODIFIED CROPS . *Genetic modifications made crops more tolerant to abiotic stresses. * Reduced reliance on chemicals pesticides. * Reduce post harvest losses. * Enhanced nutritional value of food ,e.g.,Golden rice. * Genetic modification also used to create tailor -made plants to supply alternative resources to industries,in the form of starches,fuels and pharmaceuticals. These help in decrease the amount of pesticides.

Respected Sir, I am a student and I am very concerned for the nature. As the number of Air Conditioners and other heat emitting devices are increasing exponentially but the trees are not. I would like to highlight the need of the hour of "afforestation". Sir, there has to be a "weekly drive for planting trees" in each and every district. Also, there should be equal emphasis on planting trees and taking care of them.
