Reimagining Government Schemes for a Modern Era
I want to give one example:-
Government schemes like PM Kisan Yojana, providing Rs. 2000 annually to farmers, are outdated and need to evolve. Instead of small cash transfers, the government should focus on providing resources that help farmers in the long term. One idea is to procure tractors and give them to Gram Panchayats. This would reduce the cost of cultivation, which currently stands at around Rs. 1500 per hour. A tractor could help farmers cultivate more efficiently, cutting costs and boosting productivity. Providing machinery like this would allow farmers to work independently, increase output, and foster rural development. Investing in tools and infrastructure, rather than just giving financial aid, would empower farmers to thrive instead of merely surviving.
