As per Business allocation rules 1961, Agroforestry is in Min of Agriculture. But even NITI aayog says MoEFCC is the nodal agency. Old mindset. Strongly feel, Timber development Board under Min of agri will change the mindset and remove hurdles for tree growing farmers

We can green 40 percent India, if hurdles for tree growing is removed. more than 60 percent of agri lands are dry, not viable for agriculture. Tree growing is best option. Even if we grow one third of it, we can bring 20 percent green from farm lands and 20 percent in forest, together 40 percent
