MyGov Talk with Mr. Bibek Debroy: Enabling Participation in New Economy

India is transforming at a rapid pace and India's demographic dividend is expected to play a significant role in enhancing this pace of development. New technologies and increasing participation of women in the various sectors of economy are contributing in a significant way to India's development.

NITI Aayog along with UN in India and MyGov are celebrating this socio-economic transformation across the country. As part of this ongoing effort, we are pleased to announce a live interaction with NITI Aayog Member, noted economist and author, Mr.Bibek Debroy. Scheduled on Monday, April 4th, 2016 at 2 pm, Mr.Debroy’s interaction will address a wide range of issues including difference between old and new economies and how new (internet & Mobile) technologies are lowering barriers and enabling wider participation, the correlation between investment in women and child development and India’s growth, role of new technologies in enabling cross sector participation by women and other under-represented sections of society. Post your questions for Bibek Debroy on MyGov, and see them answered live during the interaction.

How can we reap the demographic dividend as our educational institutions do not encourage creativity and do not focus on skill or personality development. We talk a lot about innovation , but it is not part of the curriculum .

Dear Dr Debroy, I feel making use of our demographic dividend will depend a lot on the quality of our human capital. Perhaps our earlier approaches focusing on vertical goals contributed to fragmented approaches to development. Do you think SDGs offer us a window of opportunity in: 1)Expansion of efforts and resolving fragmentation in existing policy/implementation 2)Integration and de-duplication, and 3)Ongoing tracking of progress at sub-state levels? Would love to hear your thoughts.

The Syllabus of State run Schools&Colleges are not good Like The Syllabus of Centre Run Schools&Colleges. When will GOI bring a New Education law where Syllabus of Each And Every School&Colleges will be same.Mother language,History can be excepted but Science,Geography,Math Like Subjects Must Be Same According to me.By Imposing this We can stop discrimination between The Quality of Education between State Run Educational Institution & Centre Run Educational Institution.
