Now, design wireframes for the PMO mobile app contest
  • Contest aimed at involving citizens in the making of the PMO's much-awaited mobile app allows you to send in entries for designing wireframes
  • MyGov has created a blueprint of the app based on ideas received in phase 1.
  • The PMO mobile app is yet another indicator of PM Modi’s objectives of digital outreach and bridging the gap between the government and the public.
Intel-DST announce ‘Innovate for Digital India’ contest
  • In an attempt to boost domestic technology product creation, Intel and DST has announced ‘Innovate for Digital India’ challenge
  • The initiative is supported by DeitY and MyGov.in and will be anchored by IIM Ahmedabad’s Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship

National career service to be rolled out soon
  • With an aim to overhaul the defunct employment exchanges in India, the Centre has proposed setting up a national career service
  • The labour ministry has uploaded the broad contours of the service which includes career centres and a national portal on mygov.in
  • The comments from people on these specifics will be incorporated for giving the final touches to the project.
Youth’s idea for PMO’s app gets selected
  • NASHIK: City resident Anand Shirsath (23) has been shortlisted along with 19 others to develop a mobile application for the Prime Minister's Office (PMO)
  • Shirsath has tried to address the aspect of making the application accessible to blind and physically disabled people
  • The Government of India jointly with search engine Google had launched the first of the contest for developing the mobile application, for which entries were invited from March 4.
  • Government along with Google launched a nationwide contest to develop a mobile app for the PMO
  • The contest will be organized over the next three months in three phases of ideation, wireframe development and App development.
  • The government also sought suggestions through MyGov portal before the Rail Budget and Union Budget 2015-16 and incorporated these suggestions
  • MyGov.in launched its version 2.0, with newer features such as hashtags, polls, interactive discussion forums and social media account integration.
  • The new version of MyGov is sleeker, has easier navigation and shows real time data about registered users, task submissions and number of comments
  • MyGov aims to be "more inclusive, more interactive, more collaborative" in its new avatar.
