The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India IRDAI is an insurance industry regulator. It is also mandated with the development of the insurance sector in the country. IRDAI was founded in the year 2000 by an Act of Parliament to protect the interests of policyholders and to promote the orderly development of the insurance industry in India.

The IRDAI safeguards the interests of policyholders by assuring fair and equitable conditions in insurance policies, trained and qualified insurance distributors, well-defined claims settlement processes and procedures, and robust grievance redressal channels for effective and timely resolution. The IRDAI is committed to expanding the insurance sector and making insurance available to all parts of the country and all segments of society through innovative means.

Bima Bharosa (an Integrated Grievance Management System) Portal and Integrated Grievance Call Centre were the initiatives of IRDAI in the year 2010 to facilitate the policyholders to register their insurance related grievance and to know the status / resolution remarks from the insurance companies. IRDAI’s Call Centre can be reached by dialing the toll free numbers 155255 and 1800 4254 732.

IRDAI would like to get the insights of the policyholders on reach and performance IRDAI’s Call Centre through Feedback Survey, which will significantly helpful for improving the services. This survey will serve as a powerful tool to analyze the requirements, enhance customer satisfaction, etc., with the Call Centre Services.
