On GDP, please look at the ground, not the GDP chart. India has reported strong GDP growth for most of the past decade, apart from the COVID disruption. Yet major cities such as Bengaluru and Chennai still struggle with basic drainage, sewerage, flooding and urban infrastructure, while millions remain in slums and large sections of the population continue to struggle with the rising cost of essentials. Meanwhile, the rupee has lost 41% against the US dollar in 10 years, eroding its international purchasing power. So the obvious question is: where is the development that the GDP numbers are supposed to represent? The more meaningful test is not the size of GDP but what the average citizen's income can actually buy—real purchasing power, quality of public services, infrastructure, housing, healthcare, education and economic security. GDP may measure the size of the economic pie; it does not tell us whether the ordinary citizen is getting a larger or better slice.

Respected PM Modi ji, I am Kailash Singh from Village Kot, Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. My original idea is 365-Day Fine-to-Helmet Model for road safety. Instead of cash challan, violator must wear helmet daily for 365 days in village. This creates social pressure and real habit. I request pilot project in Uttarkashi Uttarakhand first. This model will reduce accidents and save youth. Original Idea by Kailash Singh . Jai Hind.

Respected Shri Narendra Modi Ji, I propose Mission Bharat 100X as a national initiative for Viksit Bharat2047: making world-class knowledge freely accessible to every Indian, irrespective of age, income, location, language or educational background. The Government could partner with the world's leading educators, scientists, entrepreneurs and institutions to create/acquire structured learning roadmaps in AI, quantum computing, semiconductors, cybersecurity, biotechnology, entrepreneurship and other future-focused fields. Existing world-class courses could be localised in local languages with expert validation. The mission would go beyond courses: learners would build projects, undertake verified assessments, participate in nationally televised hackathons and case competitions judged by global experts, and connect with employers, startups and incubators. Learn Build,Compete, Get Recognised,Get Hired/Create. I request consideration of this proposal and evaluation for pilot.

Honourable Prime Minister Sir, I would like to suggest that the upcoming *Mann Ki Baat* highlight the importance of creating more opportunities for the youth, especially in small towns and villages. Many educated young people are willing to work but often struggle to find genuine job opportunities, develop practical skills, and receive proper career guidance. The government can promote free skill-training programmes, digital education, work-from-home opportunities, and career guidance through local centres. Empowering our youth with the right skills and opportunities will help them become financially independent and contribute to building a stronger, more developed India.

Honourable prime minister, For me , viksit bharat 2047 is not just an economic goal but a commitment to improving the quality of life of every Indian. I propose a ‘one nation one skill mission’ to ensure every student graduates with at least one employable skill alongside a degree, helping India build the world’s largest skilled workforce. I also suggest a ‘nation youth service year’ enabling young people to contribute to education, healthcare, environment protection, and digital awareness while developing leadership and a spirit of nation building. The India of 2047 should ensure that the benefits of development reach every citizen and that technology and AI promote inclusion and equal opportunity. I also suggest that every district should have youth innovation labs where young people identify local problems and develop practical solutions. As youth, we don’t just dream of a developed India- we want to help build it. Thank you Jai hind

I would like to suggest that the Prime Minister speak about creating more opportunities for young people, especially in small towns and villages. Many educated youth want to work but do not always know where to find genuine job opportunities or how to develop useful skills. The government can promote free skill training, digital education, work-from-home opportunities and career guidance through local centres. This can help young people become financially independent and contribute to the growth of India. I believe that empowering youth with the right skills and opportunities will play an important role in building a strong and developed India.

For the 138th episode of Mann Ki Baat, I would like to suggest a discussion on "Youth-Led Innovation for a Sustainable India." The episode could highlight inspiring stories of young innovators, students, startups, and community leaders who are using technology, creativity, and local solutions to address challenges related to education, healthcare, environmental protection, waste management, and rural development. It would also be encouraging to hear about how citizens can contribute to the vision of a developed India through innovation, sustainability, and community participation. Such stories can inspire millions of young Indians to become active contributors to nation-building.
