Google provides an apt view for flight status of most airlines, please see attached. A similar view on train running status through mobile/ web will help greatly. Passengers may select the trains they want to track using train numbers.

To reduce the crowd in mumbai suburban trains As most of the largely employed companies and government organizations are situated in mumbai, more population is travelling one sided. My suggestion is to shift some companies {largely employed like LIC headquarter,Mantralaya,head post office,banks etc.}, in the opposite direction ie.towards and beyond kalyan suburbs, or new companies should not sanctioned in the suburbs upto kalyan. so that the popullation is equally distributed in both direction.

Change Train Numbering system from current 5 digits to 3 digit and 2 Letters. Example: NS123 - indicating that Source station and Destination Station are in North India and South India. This will be much easier to remember. It will also help immensely when sending an enquiry SMS to 139: when the sender specifies the Train Number, the response can pertain only to details of the requested train, avoiding a lot of un-necessary information exchange.

Computerized Reservation System - 1. Cancelled 2 Months advance system. If want to continue it must for confirm tickets. with 50% cancellation Charge. 2. Suggestion : Reservation on 80% - 20% basis. 80% booking for 8 days advance only. Balance 20% reserve for Sr.Citizens, Disabled passages & for Tatkal system (Only 24 hrs. before departure time. Authorized Agent have to apply on their letterhead with running Sr, No. out of their fix Agents' Allotted Quota only.

Indian Railways should launch an official app giving train details. More publicity regarding various digital initiatives is the need of the hour.

I SAW MANY ROUTS HAS MAJOR TRAFIC IN RAILWAY SPECIAL GENERAL CLASS IS OVERLOADED WITH PEOPLE I THINK THERE SHOULD BE MORE GENERAL CLASS "DIBBAS" THERE SHOULD BE APPROXIMATELY TRAVELERS TRAFFIC MONITORING SYSTEM SO OUR TRAINS NEVER GET OVERLOAD JAY HIND

We are unable to know the seat availability status for some trains exactly. There should be a separate phone number both Land Line and Mobile in IVRS working 24x7 to get updates of the confirmation of seat for the ticket booked. When a PNR number is pressed it must give the current status.Once the seat is confirmed it must send a confirmation SMS when the mobile number is entered in IVRS.This will help many who cannot access internet.Hope Railways will consider this important suggestion.Thanks
