There is an option of Auto upgrade in reserved tickets.Likewise there should be an option of auto downgrade, wherein a passenger of 1st Ac will be alloted 2nd ac or will get priority in getting reservation in sleeper etc. This will enable him to atleast travel in the train....I have detailed planning..but couldnt write here due to word limit. This will also end the problem of booking two tickets in same train in two different class.

platform ticket should be sold through vending machines working on one rupee coins. Smart card access should be given to all kinds of facilities . SMS should be used as proof of ticket instead of paper to save paper. Make it mandatory for all passengers to show ID proof. as people are cheating the system by taking someone else through train if the actual person is not able to come

All major railway stations should have vending machine type kiosks for platform tickets. This will help in following ways: 1. Reduce queue at the ticket counter and help those seeking tickets for boarding trains get tickets faster 2. Make it convenient to get a platform ticket - hence increase compliance of platform ticket 3. In future, such kiosks can also be used to vend tickets for suburban trains and other chargeable railway amenities.

In the UK, rail fares during peak hours are higher than normal. This is to reduce the crowd during peak hours so that regular commuters having passes can travel comfortably. Why can't that happen in India?

We are taking innovative steps in almost all the fields, but we are missing a basic necessity which can make our country a better place. Many auto rickshaw drivers are violent and don't ride safe, but we are not doing anything to stop this. I would request the government to take proper action against this. They can give a number on which the persons can lodge a complain against that auto number, and as per the increasing complain, the licence of that particular driver should be cancelled.

IRCTC portal in both web and mobile should have very limited advertisements. Otherwise it is getting cheap and having performance issues. These online portal should focus on giving end to end every detailed information instead of collecting money from ads. These portals should implement more data security like OTP on mobile no while login.

There are large variety of quotas and more than fifty percent of berths are not available for booking by the public. Railways is a public transport system where quotas should be a taboo and all the seats should be available for booking by the public.

Nornmally IRCTC web site hangs at peak hours immediately on opening of Tatkal bookings. This needs to be resolved. Its very lengthy process for e ticketing. Payment part takes maximum time.

RAJDHANI EXP.DELAYED by 7Hrs due to FOG...! What happens in other countries where winters are more severe! I think there is huge scope of research to somehow eliminate this...
